Chung Chi Alumni Scholarships for Excellence and Chung Chi Scholarships for Excellence
College Big Scholarships, including full-tuition plus hostel fee scholarships, full-tuition scholarships and other scholarships of substantial amount, are awarded to outstanding Chung Chi students who have shown excellence in their academic pursuits and have demonstrated leadership abilities and potential for further development. These scholarships are donated by the College Board of Trustees and from eminent members of the community.

The best final year students from each department are awarded Departmental Prizes of HK$10,000. Each department is allocated a certain number of Departmental Prizes depending on the student number. The award is based on students' academic achievements over the past few years. These prizes are donated by the College Board of Trustees and eminent members of the community.

Class Scholarships are awarded to students with the best academic record in each class of a department in the previous year. Currently, the Class Scholarships for final year students and for non-final year students are HK$3,000 and HK$2,000 respectively. Most of these scholarships are financed by the interest generated from the endowments, while others are financed by annual donations.

Chung Chi Alumni Scholarships for Excellence and Chung Chi Scholarships for Excellence
Commencing from 1995/96, and with the help of Chung Chi College Alumni Association, more than 40 Chung Chi Alumni Scholarships for Excellence with a total value exceeding one million Hong Kong dollars were set up. The Chung Chi Alumni Scholarships for Excellence of $10,000 to $30,000 each are mainly awarded to freshmen admitted via JUPAS in consideration of their academic achievements. The recipients of Chung Chi Alumni Scholarships for Excellence would be awarded Chung Chi Scholarships for Excellence, donated by the College Board of Trustees, for up to three years should they maintain a good academic record and actively participate in College activities. Academic Improvement Award
In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Donation of HK$ 1.2 million was received from various Chung Chi alumni via the Caring Alumni EcoCampus Trail Donation Scheme. Starting from 2014/15, the interest generated together with the principal is used to finance 16 awards of HK$ 5,000 each annually. These awards aim at recognizing students’effort in striving for academic improvement.
